The Drake Football Study is a long-term research project focused on the health and performance of professional footballers. The study examines issues such as joint problems, mental health, and other factors that may impact players' careers and well-being.
Recently, Vincent Gouttebarge (CMO of FIFPRO) shared an update on a specific theme within the study: the impact of menstrual issues on the sports performance of female footballers. The findings provide valuable insights into the challenges players face and how these issues may affect their performance.
In addition to this topic, the study continues to focus on joint pain in ankles, hips, and knees, investigating how these issues can impact players' long-term well-being. Mental health is also a key focus, including symptoms of anxiety and depression, which are frequently reported in elite sports.
Earlier, a meeting was held at the Arsenal Stadium, organized by FIFPRO, where various football industry experts gathered to discuss the research findings and their potential applications.
