Recently the kick-off of the TeamNL support network took place at Papendal. During this meeting, the partnership between Push and TeamNL was extended until the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Rob Müller, managing director of Nea International, was present to sign the contract to extend the partnership. “As a manufacturer of medical and sports braces, we support the human body where necessary in its recovery from and prevention of injury. We do this by offering products to athletes that they can use during training or competitions. This partnership with TeamNL is going so well that we have decided to continue the contract through to Paris, and to therefore actively support NOC*NSF and TeamNL for the next few years”.
On 12 November 2021, the TeamNL support network met in person for the first time. Maurits Hendriks, technical director of NOC*NSF: “This network came about because we look at TeamNL as a group of the best athletes in the Netherlands. For these athletes, there is a whole environment that determines how well things go for them. That helps and supports those athletes. An athlete can never do that alone”.
“This was the first meeting in person and considering the times we are living in, that is of course already quite special, but you also see what that does to people. The turnout was huge. This is a first thank you from us, on behalf of the athletes, to all of these organisations from the TeamNL support network”, says Maurits Hendriks.
