The Sports and Technology Foundation brings sport, knowledge institutions and the business world together, in order to bring about innovations. The purpose? More medals, more athletes and more business. Innovation in sport creates chances for companies and opportunities for new entrepreneurs. The Sports and Technology Foundation calls this forging golden triangles.
The Sports and Technology Foundation, alongside Brainport in Eindhoven, have access to a wide network of companies, sports organisations and knowledge institutions at regional, national and international level. By means of workshops, expert meetings and an annual congress, parties are brought together to share knowledge and experience and to enter into joint ventures.
Rob Müller, Director of Nea International bv, recently became a board member of the Sports and Technology Foundation. More than anyone else, he can see the importance of innovation in sport and will be putting great effort into ensuring the foundation is a success. “The business world does not yet have a strong enough presence in the golden triangle alongside sport and knowledge institutions. It is vital that the business world is challenged and takes up the torch in an organised form to play a leading role in sports innovation. The Netherlands has a great natural talent for developing products that can contribute to improved sporting performances and especially for healthy and safe sporting activities. This is an inspiring challenge, to bring a balance to the triangle which will allow exciting projects to be adopted and implemented” said Rob Müller.
